My thifty, hippie-side has struck again. Being a new homeowner, I am trying to get my garden area cleaned up and de-weeded. I have a child and a dog and therefore, I am leary of Round-Up and other such weed killers because I don’t want either of them to get sick. I came across a homemade weed killer online and thought I would give it a shot. It does a great job! The pictures below show the “aftermath” of my weed killer’s first application. This was sprayed on there the same day that it started raining for two days so I have a feeling it wasn’t 100% effective. Just imagine that prior to the application, the grass and weeds were super green and you will get the idea of how much has already died off.

My mom applied the weed killer while I worked on stuff inside the house. She ran out before completely finishing the area we are trying to kill. She sprayed the middle of the below weed but not the outside.

The weed killer is super easy to make and super CHEAP. All you do is get a 1 quart container and pour 1 cup of white vinegar and 1/2 cup of mild dish detergent in it. Then fill the container up with water, shake and pour on your weeds or whatever it is you want to kill.
Enjoy!
