Travis was out of town the first weekend in December for a SACS conference. Therefore, he was unable to go with us to the Youngsville Christmas parade. Sam and I really enjoyed it this year. Last year, he didn’t understand why things were so loud or why people threw candy at him. This year, he LOVED the candy being thrown! I can’t imagine what he would do if he ever got to go to a Mardi Gras parade. HA! Anyway, here are a few pictures from the parade…

Sam saw the fleur-de-lis and started shouting “Who Dat!” HA HA HA!!!

It is still apparently too loud for a little boy with tubes in his ears.

The man in the uniform and the lady sitting beside him, Frankie and Debbie, are in our Sunday School class. He is in the National Guard.

Sam decided to run out into the middle of the parade and give the guy dressed as Santa a hug. Then Santa agreed to pose for a picture. HA HA!

Once the parade was over, we went to downtown Wake Forest to get his annual picture made with Santa. I love this Santa set up and there is NEVER a line. This is Santa that caused Sam to scream bloody murder 2 years ago. Thankfully, he and Santa are apparently BFFs now. HA!

After talking with Santa, Sam had to check out the train in the store window beside us.

He loves his candy cane!

Then, after Santa we had to run to the mail to look for something for Dad Buddy. I got behind this car and had to laugh- I wonder if they REALLY have that many people and animals living in their house- whoa!
