The Kent House, a plantation very close to our apartment, has a Christmas celebration each year. Children can come and make Christmas decorations and get their picture made with Papa Noel. I was excited about this because of the Papa Noel aspect- I think it is fun to embrace French culture and get Sam’s “Santa” picture with a different Santa.

When we got there, Papa Noel was not there so Sam started by making crafts. He made a candy cane from pipe cleaners first.

Finally, Papa Noel returned and Sam got his picture made. It is crazy to think that next year my son AND daughter will get to sit on Papa Nowel’s lap! How fun!

After we finished the craft and picture, we wandered around the yard. Sam had recently gone on a field trip to the Kent House and so he showed us their garden. It was pretty cool.
